| Everyone should be proud of one's origins. I was born in the town of Hamrun, in the central area of the Mediterranean Island of Malta and grew up in the same town that I now boast about even though I've been away from Malta half my life. In the following chapters I would like to set out details of the origins of my native town, how it grew and what it has to offer. I will concentrate especially about its history and the history of the main Parish Church of St Cajetan. I have also compiled chapters about people, places and activities within Hamrun.
