Swatar

St.Gorg Preca Parish Church Archbishop Paul Cremona has declared the autonomous zone of Swatar as a parish dedicated to St.Gorg Preca, Malta's first Saint. The new parish, which takes territory from Msida and Birkirkara, was formally created on November 8 - 2008 and brings the number of parishes in Malta to 70. At first in the 1980's, Sunday Mass was held in a garage, later in the basement of a Pastoral centre and then when it was finished in 2004 on the main floor.

Mary Mother of the Church Swatar Chapel at a place called 'Tal-Qattus'. St.Martin St. Martin's College is a private High School which caters for students up to 18yrs of age. Among its facilities is also a Chapel.
